Nitrado

Same path. The panel will not run a Windows app on the box, and Citadel does not ask it to.

GPORTAL

Same path. If you can add a workshop server mod and write a file under profiles, you are done.

Any other rented host

If the panel lets you add workshop mods and edit the profile folder, it works. If it does not, you need a machine you control and the Server Manager.

Setup

Three steps

    Sign up and add a server

    app.citadel-hub.com/signup. Name the server. Citadel prints a Server ID (cs_…) and a key once. Pick rented host when it asks.

  2. 02

    Add @CitadelAdmin

    Steam Workshop 3676936117. Load it as a server mod (-serverMod=@CitadelAdmin), not -mod. Players download nothing.

  3. 03

    Save cloud.json and restart

    profiles/Citadel/cloud.json, exactly as the pairing screen printed it. The mod reads it once at startup. The board fills in within a minute.

Questions from rented-host owners

Do I install the Citadel Server Manager?
No. That app runs on a VPS or dedicated box you control. A rented host will not let you install it, and you do not need it for the live map, roster, kicks, bans or events.
What do I not get without the Server Manager?
Start, stop and restart (Discord /server-control on a Server Manager box), automatic mod updates, whitelist grants, and player address / linked-account matching. The console does not start the process. Priority queue needs a @CitadelAdmin that can write the file; the current Workshop build on a rented host cannot, and the hosted store will not sell it rather than take the money. LB Core cosmetics (tags, skins, prefixes) still work.
The roster is empty after it went live.
Nobody has joined yet. That is normal on a new or quiet server. Online and Citadel Admin in the status bar is the proof it is working.
Does this cost extra for a rented host?
No. The console is free on every server you connect, including Vykix, Nitrado and GPORTAL. Overwatch and fulfilment are optional addons.

You run the box yourself? Use the Citadel Server Manager instead. It is a one-time $19.99 purchase, not a host path.
